Members Evening – What’s New?
Introduced for the first time last year, the members ‘What’s New’ evening proved once again to be a great success. All of us are collectors and even those with extensive collections are still finding areas of philately that they can still add to their collections. In most cases, it’s not the prime collecting area, and for many, it’s a second country or a theme, or just something that has taken their fancy. Whatever it was, the array of material that appeared on this evening was wonderful.
Material that was displayed included mini-sheets, airmail items from several countries, Indian states, UPU, Albania, GB errors, World Cup 1966, UK Mail from Norway via Denmark, Norwegian Postal Stationery cards, full sheets of Barbados stamps from 1970’s, birds FDC’s, the new King Charles Definitive FDC’s, Rotary International, Mauritania, errors on Australian stamps, the Flying Scotsman stamps and FDC’s and Airmail between UK and South Africa. Genuinely, something for everyone!
The photographs are below with some of the items members showed on the evening.
