Members evening – Bring, Buy & Exchange May 2022

For the final meeting of the season, we held a bring, buy and exchange meeting, during which we also had the annual competition for the NPS Plate, along with Carol’s fiendishly cunning quiz, this time focused on Registered mail labels. This year the competition garnered four excellent entries, namely PUC issues of 1929, Golf on Stamps, H.M.S.India and Seahorse covers to South America.

The voting was taken as a poll of all present and the result was extremely close, with just one mark separating the winner from second place. The winner, however, was Graham Macpherson and his display of PUC 1929 material, including an extremely nice First Day Cover with the £1 PUC affixed.

The quiz was won by Steve Smith who identified more placenames from the Registration labels than anyone else.

The next meeting will be the annual summer barbecue and the new season dates will be published on this website in due course.
