Members Evening – Letters M & N

The new season commenced with a Members’ evening focusing on the letters M and N. Of course, people got creative, as members usually do and we saw some amazing material. The list of displays included:

• Mauritania and Mersons on stamps
• Countries beginning with M or N showing scouts and scouting on stamps
• Manchuko stamps of the 1930s and 1940s
• Novelty postcards made of unusual material including leather, metal and wood
• Yachts with Royal Navy or German Navy crews off the coast of Norway
• Stamps from Malaysia and Newfoundland
• Stamps from Northern Rhodesia

Once again it was a great opportunity for members to dust down parts of their collection that perhaps hadn’t been seen for some time, and for everyone else to get a sense of the scope of members collections.
