Another entertaining New Year Party and Annual Competition

Once again, members did not disappoint at the New Year Party and Annual Competition, turning out in force to celebrate the turning of another year and to take part in the festive quiz.

As always, Carol’s quiz turned out to be a massive challenge, especially for those members who struggle with geography!

The challenge was, starting from the Greenwich Meridien, we had to assemble the other 13 stamps on the quiz sheet into the correct order as you would find them, heading west from Greenwich.

Some were fairly straightforward to locate but others, like the Summer Isles, were a bit more of a challenge!

We held a raffle which was very successful in raising funds for the Society and the images below show the assembled members and the displays for the annual competition, which was won this year by Alan Totten.
