As always, there was a good turnout for the AGM and Auction however it was noted that apologies were received from a number of members who were unwell.
The AGM saw the transition of the Chairmanship from outgoing Chairman, Jonathan Guy to Alan Totton, followed by the election of Steve Speak to the position of Vice Chairman.
In his review of the year Jonathan remarked that it had been a good year for the Society with five different speakers presenting their displays, two members evenings where members showed different aspects of their own collection and two successful auctions. There was also a successful trip to York stamp fair which was enjoyed by a number of members.
The website has also been successful this year in attracting new members, in encouraging donations from members of the public and for broadcasting the activities of the Society.
Jonathan also noted the loss of one of our members this year, Gordon Chamberlain.
The meeting closed with the traditional auction and a number of members snapped up bargains to add to their own collections.
